Communities In Schools of Houston (CIS) proudly marks 45 years of empowering students to succeed. In the 2023-2024 school year, CIS served over 143,000 students across 163 campuses, achieving a 99% student retention rate and a 97% grade promotion rate.

Fueled by the dedication of our campus-based staff, CIS provides critical support to help students overcome barriers and thrive. To deepen this impact, we’ve launched a $15 million Capacity Campaign to expand mental health programming and strengthen our presence in schools for years to come.
