When students are hungry, without stable housing, or lacking basic essentials, learning becomes impossible. Communities In Schools of Houston places full-time Student Support Managers on 147 campuses across Greater Houston, ready to respond the moment a crisis arises.

CIS Provides:

• Emergency relief for housing, utilities, and food so families don’t have to choose between bills and school readiness

• Essentials like clothing, shoes, and hygiene items to help students show up with dignity and confidence

• Nutritious meals through the weekend so students can focus in class instead of worrying about hunger

• School supplies and uniforms so every student can participate fully from day one

• Transportation assistance to keep attendance on track

• Access to health care, dental care, and mental health support through our 254 community partners
