Behavioral Health services:

CIS of Houston provides students experiencing emotional stressors, trauma, or crisis with interventions that alleviate emotional and behavioral challenges, enhance coping skills, improve student emotional and physical health, and in turn, academic achievement.

Behavioral Health Services:

Brief, Solution-Focused Counseling.  Generally, 8 to 10 sessions.

Areas of Focus: assistance with depression, anxiety and adjustment disorders (job loss, grief, geographical move, etc.) that are getting in the way of family relations, job performance, etc.  Also, help with parents who are having issues with management of children’s behaviors and children dealing with bullying and other relational issues.

RaiseUp Families provides nine months of comprehensive case management, including a needs assessment, development of a self-sufficiency plan, supportive counseling, and advocacy.

Full continuum of care to meet the unique needs of women and their families on their recovery journey. In addition, there are prevention services for students at the following Spring Branch ISD schools:

Behavioral Health services:

SBISD provides a variety of mental and behavioral health services and supports to students through Professional School Counselors partner with Communities In Schools (CIS) and Community Youth Services (CYS) and other community partners. In addition, the District’s Guidance and Counseling team coordinates comprehensive support across the district in support of the mental health needs of students, families and staff that impact healthy personal-social development and academic success for all students in school and beyond.

Driven by Positive Behavior Intervention Systems (PBIS), System of Care partners with campuses to provide assistance to staff and students. Using the Response to Intervention (RTI) approach, we ensure to impart assistance to our students, creating a sense of belonging for all in SBISD. We provide universal behavior support  for all students as well as individual student support based on campus and student need. We also have a Substance Abuse Counselor who leads the district’s first offense Alcohol and Marijuana Program (AMP) for students.
