Job Summary:
The Partnership Manager is responsible for assisting with the strengthening and expansion of the Strategic Partnerships Department by developing new relationships and sustaining existing partners on behalf of Communities In Schools of Houston (CIS). The Partnership Manager will assist in coordinating the emergency support process and facilitate appropriate community-based referrals for campus staff. The Partnership Manager will oversee support to the Communities In Schools externship programs. The Partnership Manager will work cohesively with all members of the Strategic Partnerships Department to enhance the success of the department and the agency.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Partnerships
Assist in the expansion of partnerships on behalf of Communities In Schools of Houston (CIS).
Work closely with our partners to establish and sustain relationships to support the mission and strategic goals of CIS.
2. Program Development
Coordinate program development activities to support CIS’ core service components which include, but are not limited to, Supportive Guidance & Counseling, Health & Human Services, Academic Support, College & Career Readiness, Parental & Family Engagement and Enrichment on the campuses.
Research appropriate programs in alignment with CIS’ strategic goals.
Assist with the identification and matching of potential program partners with CIS campuses.
Support implementation of programs on CIS campuses.
3. Emergency Support
Provide support to CIS campus staff in the areas of emergency support by managing ongoing assistance in a timely manner.
Assist with the coordination of resource distribution projects including monitoring, distribution and collecting information.
Make appropriate community-based emergency referrals.
Identify community resources that will benefit CIS students.
4. Management of Externship Programs
Work with coordinator(s) from externship programs to organize and provide support.
Work with CIS Student Support Managers to recruit and on-board CIS externs.
Provide support to externs before and during their externship experience in coordination with the Student Support Managers.
5. Meetings and Events
Represent CIS at both internal and external meetings and events as requested.
6. Communication
Maintain effective intra/inter departmental communication and professional rapport.
Support clarity and consistency of communication, process and support provided to campus-based staff through the Strategic Partnerships Department.
7. Documentation
Maintain accurate documentation pertaining to partnership projects throughout the year.
8. Other Duties as Assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Valid Texas Driver License and proof of liability insurance
Thorough understanding of the CIS Program Model
Excellent organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail and creativity.
Extensive social services background in social service agency and school settings.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional public speaking skills.
Ability to demonstrate objectivity and impartiality.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent technology skills particularly in MS Word and Excel
Demonstrated ability to adhere to policies and procedures, as well as an ability to advocate for change to appropriate personnel when there is need for change in policies and procedures within the organization.
Open-minded, friendly and supportive demeanor.
Open and supportive of staff with varied learning styles as they learn nuances of the CIS
Program Model and implementation in various school settings.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in education, organizational development, social work, mental or behavioral health.
At least four years’ experience with related tasks in a social service agency or experience in the field of social work, education and/or non-profit with related tasks in a social service agency.
Work Environment:
Hybrid – Remote and In-Office.
Occasional travel in the Greater Houston area for meetings and events is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base Pay: Starting at $53,304
Other Pay: Business Mileage Reimbursement
