Our Students Need Your Support Today!
Right now in Houston our CIS Student Support Managers are welcoming students to a new year of learning. We know that the first weeks of school are critical for establishing support and resources: students who miss days early on are more likely to become chronically absent and struggle in their classrooms.
Your generosity today will help connect thousands of students across the city with the tools they need to succeed this year—from food and clothing to mental health support and tutoring.
Together, we will do whatever it takes to help kids unlock their full potential this school year.
Imagine not being able to attend school because you don’t have clean clothes, shoes, a roof over your head, or a bed to sleep on. This is the heartbreaking reality for too many children in our community, but you can make a difference with a donation to Communities In Schools of Houston (CIS).
As the new school year begins, many students face significant barriers to learning. CIS is dedicated to helping students succeed by meeting their basic needs. Our mission is to keep kids in school, and your support is essential to achieving that goal.
When CIS is on a school campus, 99% of the students we serve stay in school. We are there every day, identifying and addressing the needs of our students.
The recent challenges brought by Hurricane Beryl have intensified the hardships faced by our students and their families. Spoiled food, missed work hours, and additional unforeseen costs are disproportionately affecting low-income families. Students cannot focus on learning if there is no food at home or the lights are out.
Right now, we need your help more than ever to meet the growing needs of our students. Your donation today will make a tangible difference. Whether it’s providing uniforms, school supplies, or necessities like food and shelter, your support helps us remove the barriers that prevent children from reaching their full potential.
Donate today to help students succeed this school year. Together, we can ensure that every student can thrive, no matter their circumstances.
