Job Summary:
The Compliance Monitor is responsible for ensuring organizational, CIS National and Texas Education Agency (TEA) compliance through site-based monitoring, data quality verification, and documentation audits. This role serves as a compliance and quality assurance monitor across program implementation, student records, and service delivery documentation. The monitor conducts on-site monitoring visits, reviews electronic and physical files, validates data within Catalyst and CIS-NAV, and recommends corrective actions and timelines to ensure adherence to CIS and other stakeholder standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Monitoring and Compliance
Conduct on-site monitoring visits to assigned campuses to assess compliance with CIS and other stakeholder standards.
Review case management folders to ensure comprehensive documentation, appropriate case-managed status for targeted students, and verification of data within Catalyst.
Conduct quality assurance monitoring for the accuracy of student electronic records.
Review, respond to, and resolve errors in electronic student records found in Catalyst or CIS-NAV.
Serve as a member of the Closeout Team by reviewing service documentation and required documents, case-managed folders, outcome corrections, and supporting campus staff through the Closeout process.
2. Documentation Support
Provide ad hoc technical assistance and training to campus-based and program staff related to documentation, compliance findings, and corrective actions.
Clearly communicate required corrective actions and enforce compliance timelines.
Offer one-on-one support to staff as needed to address recurring compliance or documentation issues.
3. Interfacing
Communicate findings, risks, and compliance concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to support agency-wide compliance and quality standards.
Participate in departmental meetings, quarterly in-services, and mandatory agency trainings.
4. Other Duties as Assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Valid Texas Driver License.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow policies or procedures.
• Maintain a flexible schedule based on projects and major deadlines.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the CIS-TEA caseload registration process and demonstrated ability to maintain high compliance CIS-TEA standards.
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of Associate’s degree in Humanities, Fine Arts or Social Sciences is preferred.
• A minimum of five (5) years of direct experience in compliance monitoring is required.
• Two years of experience in a related field is preferred.
Work Environment:
• Hybrid – Remote and In-Office
• Hybrid position with frequent travel to assigned campuses.
• Travel is primarily local during the business day within the Greater Houston area for meetings and events, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Compensation and Benefits:
Base Pay: Starting at $44,755.26
Other Pay: Business Mileage Reimbursement
